64 BUS FARE CHANGE EFFECTIVE 27 APRIL 2025

Frances from Mount Eden

64 BUS FARE CHANGE EFFECTIVE 27 APRIL 2025
Auckland Transport has advised the Mt Eden Village Business Association that the fare for the 64 Bus will change. Since its inception in mid-2020, as a rail replacement bus, the 64 Bus has had a fare of 1 cent. However, as from 27 April 2025, a normal bus fare will apply. Please note that Auckland Transport’s zone fare system allows trips on the 64 Bus to include a transfer to or from another bus or train without additional cost for many journeys. Information about bus fares can be found on the AT website here: at.govt.nz...

64 BUS FUTURE ROUTE CHANGE IN 2026
When the Maungawhau Station re-opens in 2026, the route of the 64 Bus will change. Instead of travelling on Sandringham Rd, it will travel on Dominion Road. When this change is made, the 64 Bus will continue to travel between Newmarket and St Lukes, but it will no longer travel on Walters Road or Sandringham Road and it will not go to Kingsland Station.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
