bowls+beats+beverages

Steve King from Rocky Nook Bowls Club

Audio Jacks- top Auckland DJs augmenting the ever popular barefoot lawn bowls at the iconic Rocky Nook Bowling Club in Fowlds Park- this Friday!

$20 pp* gets you a relaxed, outdoor Friday evening social where you can join your mates or make some new ones, over great music and lawn bowls in the gorgeous environs of Fowlds Park, Mt Albert.
All bowls equipment- and even coaching- provided.

You can also enjoy a pub meal (vegan options), and few wines and local and Irish ales- at sports club prices- from the Auckland Irish Club Bar & Bistro.

5 minutes’ walk from Morningside Station- leave the car behind- this is a kid-friendly event- with playground and garden bar on site- and free for RNB members.

The main requirement is that any bowlers wear flat soled shoes to protect the greens.

There is no smoking or drinking or children under 12 allowed on the greens. Drinking on the surrounds of the green is fine- especially if it’s our exclusive Jack Attack Pilsner from Urbanaut Brewing.

*$10 for Auckland Irish Club members.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
