U3A Mt Albert
Our first monthly meeting for the year will be at 10am on Tuesday February 28 in the Western Springs Garden Community Hall. The speaker will be Margaret Gane, Past President of the U3A Network, who will be speaking about Plague Survival in a Small English Village. Visitors and new members are welcome.
Please note that the date is a departure from our usual third Tuesday of the month because of hall availability. The March meeting will be on the 4th Tuesday also, for the same reason.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
