SURVIVED ISOLATION /LOCKDOWN WHAT YA DO
I SURVIVED the 14 day isolation, now for next 14 day lockdown. In fact i'm into my 21st day of been fenced in as started early in preparation.. Firstly I will tell my feelings at time, yours maybe similar ?
After getting thru the first few days of (tell u the truth) a stressful time with shades of anxiety & some panicking was felt. However I found getting up at night and hitting the computa in dead of night eased the stress. At times with hot flushs I thought I was a suspect of this 19 thinking about where I had been prior to this lockdown. Once into the forth day I felt relieved and was going to get thru this, I figured out not watching tv news was the less stress, I already knew what I had to do so turned over too just listening to music, that did the trick in my minds way.
Not to get bored many chores were being added to a list apart from cleaning. Hit the yard looking around and saw what needed to be attacked, funny all those little jobs you put aside are now getting attention. The front yard is so tidy u could back a large van into space that was cleared. Obliviously the garden got a bit of attention, even placed a 1000lt water tank into its position after sitting around for 15yrs. Plotted a area for a 2nd future garden, that will keep me going before winter sets in,just need seedlings then. I don't go for walks in streets as I figure i'm keeping the bones rattling whilst working on projects. I do enjoy a beer at end of day tho .So what did you get up to, be interesting to see what jobs you invented to keep one insanity. Keep well
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.9% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.8% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
