For a cow to produce milk she has to be pregnant and give birth to a calf. These unwanted byproducts of the dairy industry are killed. Sweet, innocent beings that have barely learned to walk. Dairy in NZ contributes 22.9% of our green house gas equivalent emissions, more than all our transport combined.
