We are currently looking for 2 Qualified Teachers for our Babies and Preschool rooms. We are a new centre and are building our licence quickly. We are looking for dedicated and passionate teachers to join our wonderful teaching teams at Kid Country St Johns.
We are also looking for unqualified casual relievers.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

Ōrākei School annual Cheekee Hero Day
Ōrākei School is hosting its annual Cheekee Hero Day, turning a day of fun into a powerful community fundraiser.
This year, the event aims to raise funds to create Cheekee Hero Goodee Bags for tamariki (children) receiving treatment at Starship Children’s Hospital.
The event is on Monday, 15 December 2025 8:00 am 6:00 pm at Ōrākei School
