Sky Tower lights for Diwali Festival
The Sky Tower will light up in yellow and fuchsia from tonight until Sunday to celebrate the city's Indian festival of lights, Diwali.
Diwali is commemorated to honour Rama-chandra, the seventh avatar (incarnation of the god Vishnu).
It is believed that on this day Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana.
Usually lasting five days, Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
