Accordian theft from car on Dominion Road - 1st August
Our friends who organise a cultural group called Singing Nations have had their car broken into with the loss of an iconic accordion, bags of sheet music and audio equipment like microphones and speakers. This loss is significant as they volunteer their time and resources to run a group with approx 30 members. I am personally embarrassed and angry that this sort of thing happens in NZ more frequently nowadays. As a born Kiwi of 60 yrs I can attest this country has changed for the worst especially in terms of crime. Our friends are from Ukraine/Russia and came to this country for a better life. Except I hear they are now victims of 4 burglaries since being here. This last one involving the loss of equipment and folders of sheet music from their car parked on Dominion Road (near Balmoral Road intersection) whilst in a restaurant - was around 6pm on Sunday 1st August. Any information to aid recovery is most welcome. Thank you 027 2751195
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

77.9% Community feedback and transparency is needed.
-
22.1% No. This would be impossible in practice.
