Meadowbank Toastmasters - meeting Tuesday 15th December at 6.45pm for 7pm start

Barry Shaw from Meadowbank Toastmasters

What a great time of fun and learning we had on 1st December!
We welcomed 4 guests! They looked like they enjoyed themselves, even in the Table Topics session! Great to meet them. Come again!
:-)
One of our members received her completion certificate for Level 1 of Dynamic Leadership. Congratulations, again!
Three meeting awards were issued: Best Speaker, Best Evaluator and Best Table Topics Speaker. Congratulations to those three, as well.

Come along (for free entry - and free exit! - :-P ) and experience the fun of gaining confidence in speaking and leadership in a "safe learning environment where there is a supportive and positive group of people looking to help you learn and to learn themselves"!

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Carpet inspection needed

Karen from Saint Johns

Hi
I've just had new carpet laid throughout my house. I'm not happy with the result, as pieces don't match where they should, and in a hallway there are 5 joins where should not have been more than two. The supplier says there's nothing wrong. I would like a professional carpet person to look at it for an independent assessment. Does anyone know of someone who could do this?
