Volunteer Database: Groceries and Friendly Chats Needed
Hi everyone, I am receiving increasing word of people in need, particularly elderly who need groceries or a phone call.
I've decided to create a database of those who are available to support. If you have the time, are willing to go out and purchase groceries for our vulnerable and would like to lend a hand, please email deniseleemp@parliament.govt.nz with your name and telephone number.
This is our chance to let kindness and generousity shine.
Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
