Out for walk yesterday over Mt Wellington. Everyone was keeping a good distance from each other.
But 5 of the 7 dogs I passed were off their leash.
First, there are clear signs that dogs on Mt Wellington should be on a leash. And, at this time it’s just plain dangerous, I’ll explain why.
Here is an expert opinion on pets and Covid, It is possible that a person with COVID-19 could sneeze or otherwise contaminate their pet, and then another individual could touch that animal and contract the disease.

So people please be responsible and get your dogs on a leash when in public.
A safe walk in a park with good distancing will likely keep many of us fit and sane but let’s keep our distance, and this includes our dogs.
