Mr Wayne Anderson returns to East FM

Phil from East Tamaki Heights

The Thin White Duke, Rod the Mod, Rocket Man and The Piano Man aren’t exactly music legends you’d usually associate with the Singer of Songs, but that’s who’ll be in the spotlight when Mr Wayne Anderson takes the mic for his quarterly special guest DJ appearance on East FM tomorrow Saturday.
The great southern (suburbs) man is focusing on four of rock n’ roll’s finest, David Bowie, Sir Rod Stewart, Sir Elton John, and Billy Joel, on The She’ll Be Right on Saturdays Show with PJ Taylor, on East FM, 3-7pm (NZ time).
It’ll be interesting to hear what tracks Wayne chooses from those guys’ vast repertoires, and it could just be the selections you’ll be needing to hear warming up for Sunday’s massively colourful and entertaining Howick Santa Parade.

The She’ll Be Right on Saturdays Show with PJ beams out of East FM, East Auckland’s community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on NZ app Radio Schmadio.

If we’re not playing it this Saturday we’re playing it next. Keep it real, people. - PJ

Choraiya bhaji (or Chowrai Bhaji, Chore Bhaji) is a nutritious, leafy green vegetable from the amaranth family, popular in Caribbean, Fijian, and Indian cuisines, often prepared by sautéing with onions, garlic, peppers, and sometimes tomatoes or eggplant, mashed into a soft, flavourful side dish served with roti or rice. It's known for being rich in vitamins (A, C, K) and minerals (iron, calcium) and is also called callaloo or red spinach in different regions.
