DIY FACE MASK FOR HAIRCUTS

Carissa from Papatoetoe

Here's a hack to get you through your next hair cut, keeping you and your hairdressers safe. Wash your hands first and/or sanitise - then cut the ear loops off your surgical mask (or your home made mask). Stick some Fashion Tape along the sides and you're good to go. Fashion Tape is a double-sided sticky tape used for adhering fabric to skin. It holds gaping necklines in place (celebrities use it). This can be purchased at places like Spotlight, Chemist Warehouse, Farmers, KMart etc. I have seen some stick-on see through masks online made in Japan which allows the hairdresser to see your face/features, but this simple idea will keep you protected. Stay safe everyone.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
