Protect your whaanau against measles
Measles is one of the most infectious diseases, and now with 9 confirmed cases in Auckland, it's more important then ever to make sure you and your whaanau are immunised.
If you're unsure if you've been vaccinated, please go see your family doctor, particularly for our rangatahi. Whaanau with babies and young tamariki, please make sure they're immunised on time - 15 months and four years. This ensures the best protection.
For more information, contact your family doctor or call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for free advice. Helpful info can also be found on the Auckland Regional Public Health Service website - link below.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.

Dead cat
