Safe Haven House looks after the accommodation of asylum seekers arriving in NZ. The week we received two asylum seekers and we have just one bed.
Shortly there is another asylum seeker arriving? We need 1-2 single or King single beds and mattresses in good condition. We would prefer donations if possible. Some of our recent asylum seekers are tall and a King single would be helpful. Thank you for your help. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
