NZ Police Weekly Crime Alert Pictures

Colleen from Onehunga

Hi Neighbours,
Attached is the weekly crime alert and below is another plea from our Onehunga Community Constable Don Allan suggesting how to reduce car break ins and being vigilant about mail boxes being cleared regularly and locked. Once they get your credit or store cards or banking info they're off spending your money !!!
Regards
Colleen

Update:
We are still seeing a bit of vehicle crime occurring in the area so please keep vigilant and remove all contents from your vehicle when parked up.
Mail theft is also occurring through our community so please be vigilant and clear letterboxes regularly and do not let mail and flyers accumulate in your letter boxes. Good quality latches and locks may be useful, however criminals are still jimmying locked letterboxes in order to get at your mail. If you see something, say something.

All suspicious activity should be reported immediately to Police on 111 and if a photo can be obtained of individuals engaging in the activity, please forward to police as soon as possible, this will be most useful in helping to identify those responsible. Nonetheless, do not put yourself in harm’s way trying to photograph criminals.

Have a safe weekend.

Kind regards

Don

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
