The Mt Roskill local was given CPR by a bystander until emergency services arrived, which he credits with saving his life.
He doesn't know who the person was, but says it was a "godsend" they were there.

After contacting Auckland Transport and requesting they make improvements, I can confirm changes are coming!
Auckland Transport has prioritised Beachcroft Avenue for safety improvements and is currently developing a proposal that includes a new pedestrian crossing, footpath improvements and a new speed table.
Students of Onehunga High School will benefit greatly too. Public consultation opens end of November, so watch this space!
