The Story of Highwic: Through Artefacts and Art
The Story of Highwic: Through Artefacts and Art
Saturday, August 17th, 2pm
Delve deeper into the rich history of Highwic beyond the Buckland family legacy by exploring the artwork and artefacts displayed throughout the historic house. Join us for this exclusive, members-only event as we uncover the intriguing stories behind the paintings and decorative pieces that adorn Highwic.
During this specially curated afternoon, we will share fascinating insights into the provenance and significance of the artwork, as well as the talented artists who created them. There will also be the opportunity to get up close with some of our incredible objects and discover their uses and history. Learn how these carefully chosen pieces offer a unique window into Highwic's past.
Admission for this event is $10 per person, which includes refreshments served after the presentation. This is an exceptional opportunity for Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga members to gain a more intimate understanding of the history of Highwic through the lens of its exceptional collection.
