Honesty stalls in rural NZ may be the "Kiwi way", but thieves are making it difficult to survive.
One grower-family was targeted with a spate of $100 per day thefts.
But out-of-pocket growers have pledged to continue; keeping the "Kiwi tradition" alive, in spite of thieves.

Once you know which type of wasp to target, the next step is to use the correct control method.
- For paper wasps, there are commercially available sprays at hardware stores around the country. The important things to note are not to get too close (these sprays can go up to four metres), and to do it at dusk once the wasps have returned to their nests. If you are unsure where the nests are, you can usually follow the wasp to it, as they don't travel too far away.
- Vespex is a protein-based bait which is suitable for use on the vespula wasp species. This is usually done at landscape scale as a small tub of bait can cover a large area. You don't need to find the nests as the wasps carry the bait home with them. Vespex is not at all attractive to bees. If there is a problem in your area you can learn all about the use of vespex here. You will need to be an approved user - a short 10-minute video course is all that is required. Vespex is not suitable for paper wasps as they prefer live bait. You can also contribute to our fight against wasps here: givealittle.co.nz...

We want to know what a day at the beach with the classics costs us.
So roll up, roll up ... there's nothing like licking a scoop of ice cream during the summer. How much do you pay at home, and when you are away? What is the most expensive ice cream you've bought on holiday?

Hi everyone, this cat is in our house and we don't know what to do with it. It has nothing around her neck.
Thanks,

The Kiwi day at the beach. It's what our summer memories are made of. It's an easy and fun way to spend a day in the sun - but is it still cheap?

King single bed with trundler at bottom. Must take bed and frame. Doesn’t include single mattress. Frame a bit bent but didn’t worry us, we still used it like that. Comfy bed!
Bit of mould at end of bed and few ink marks as per photos.
Would like gone asap
Price: $50

council has deemed it all right again this year to not
take party noise complaints from 6pm till 2am
I have contacted one of local councillors who did not about this until reading it in the Herald as well today
we like dozens of other residents had an issue last year
with party noise that never stopped till 7am, after 2 officers came after 3am and 4am and found the noise
not excessive although we are 5 houses down and on the
other side of the street.an officer finally shut them down
at 7am resulting in some members of my family being
unable to go to work the next day after being awake all night
If you also find this ludicrous please email your local
councillor
I rung council on Friday to enquire if it was in this year
I was told no, now see it in the herald
along with their new rule about noise requiring you to
call back in half an hour if it is before 8pm is absolutely
stupid and allowing a minority to do what they want at the
expense of those who have respect I feel sorry for anyone
with small children
while I undersand it is only NYE if like last years can take
over an hour to get through at 2am then another hour
at least to send someone who is most likely deaf
we rung last year at 2mins to 2am was informed it was not yet 2am and were cut off ,took another hour to contact again
please be aware of this amnesty
our council should be promoting community events not encouraging anti social behaviour
as we are living closer to each other this is a growing issue, to which council don't want to
do anything
