🌱 Bring your friends and whānau to tFriends of Shepherds Park's planting day and sausage sizzle this Sunday!
They have 100+ native trees to plant at Shepherds Park and June is a great month to plant them! Will you help?
Planting will be by the practice field/ where the dogs hang out, next to the lower soccer field.
Bring (if you can): gloves, sturdy shoes/gumboots, spade, your own water bottle

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
