Auckland Council has just green lit the felling of 17 Phoenix Palm trees on Mt Roskill Mountain at the cost to YOU the tax payer.
Never mind the council moaning about the loss of revenue due to Covid, they are not prioritising our money and will spend Millions of dollars to cut these beautiful healthy trees down, for no good reason.
It is not just Mt Roskill Mountain that is at risk, Mt Wellington is at risk too with the trees there also running into the millions to cut down.
In our current climate with Covid so close, it is not the time or place to spend millions frivolously cutting down trees without reason.
Did I mention that they won't dig out the bottom of the tree trunks once cut down? Unsightly huge stumps will be left to rot in their place.
