Pet and house sitting availability!

Rachael from Remuera

Hi neighbours,

My name is Rachael and my partner Aneta and I are available to pet/house sit.

Here is a little info about us:

My name is Aneta. I am 28 years old and I am a vet nurse at Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa. I have been a vet nurse for over 5 years now. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends and going for walks. I have three animals of my own 2 dogs and a cat, who currently live in Wellington with my parents. I have house/petsit for dogs and cats in the past, especially pets that have recovered from surgery or need daily medications.

I’m Rachael. I am 24 and also work at Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa as a Canine Hydrotherapist. I’ve been at VSA for 2.5 years now and have loved helping rehabilitate dogs in need. I currently have a cat of my own, and a golden retriever I co-own with my sister. I have also previously worked for a cat minding company taking care of feline friends while owners were on holiday.

We have plans to be away in Europe from August to October 2023, but are available before and after this period.

If you are looking for someone to take care of your home and/or furry friends feel free to get in touch!

Flick us a message if you have any questions or would like some references.

Thanks,

Aneta and Rachael

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
