Volunteering New Zealand is mobilising the kindness DNA with our new #AotearoaOfKindness campaign for National Volunteer Week!
We're calling on people to share their stories of acts of kindness. We're calling on people to thank those who have shown acts of kindness that contribute to an Aotearoa of Kindness.
Call to action – keep shaping the world we want to live in:
• Look for where kindness, mahi aroha, work for love, has impacted your life.
• Show your thanks to those people giving kindness and mahi aroha through #AotearoaOfKindness.
• Connect or reconnect with a community or a cause that’s important to you through volunteeringnz.org.nz/finding-volunteer-roles.

Age Well Kiwi
We are a new support group for seniors. We meet once a month to share our experience and discuss our challenges & concerns.
With the growth of our ageing population, and more seniors living alone, this group would explore and advocate/address the social, emotional and physical needs of our seniors, and promote positive and healthy ageing.
We meet on the first Saturday afternoon of the month in Mt. Roskill. Our next meeting will be 7 Mar 2026.

Not every pair of jeans makes it to the rack... but that doesn’t mean their story ends there. Our talented volunteer Annie has been transforming damaged denim into handcrafted bags, hats and aprons in our Onehunga SPCA Op Shop ✂️🧵
This latest batch even features her own hand-sewn designs, and customers have been loving them, they sell almost as soon as they hit the shelf!
It’s creativity, sustainability and community all stitched together, helping animals in need 🐾
