AT need to action this very quickly
AT has recently changed our speeds in Mt Eden back to 50 Klms. Great! They have produced only one 30 Klm "School Sign" showing all the times where you must reduce your speed in and around schools. Believe it or not, AT have erected this special "one off" sign almost at the end of Charlton Ave which is a Cul De Sac and can only be read if you are one of the lucky last seven households in the Avenue. Surely this "School Sign" should be resited out into Valley Rd prior to Eden Normal School informing thousands of motorists of the new times and speeds. And just to add to the stupidity, AT have just erected a brand new 50 Klm sign just short of the end of the Avenue. But wait, there is more.
Did you know that driving up Valley Rd from Dominion Rd towards Eden Normal School, that the maximum speed 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, is only 30 Klms. Yet driving down Valley Rd you are allowed to travel at 50 Klms. This difference of speeds against opposing traffic without a safety barrier is sheer madness.
