Upkeep of our cycleways/pedestrian paths
Does the council plan to maintain the current cycle/pedestrian paths as I have noticed they are becoming neglected. The paintwork has worn away in many places and the surfaces have degraded. Some areas where plantings were introduced have grown onto the paths. Does anyone on here know if maintenance of these have been budgeted for by council? Or is this considered infrastructure as roading? Is it practical to form a volunteer group to maintain them?
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
