Have you registered for our moth plant competition yet? $2700 in cash prizes and lots of spot prizes too all up for grabs for our local community.
3 categories - 1. Primary and Intermediate Schools
2. High Schools

Get together a team of up to 5 people. Register on our website and start collecting up those moth plants. First prize for the most pods and vines collected in each category wins $500.
Second prize is $300 and we have bonus prizes of $100 for the thickest vine.
We even have maps showing you where moth plant is located!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
