School history immersed for 25 years: Mt Eden
Students from a Mt Eden primary school have buried their history for the next generation to unravel.
The Maungawhau School learners submerged a time capsule capturing 2020 inside a concrete pipe.
Sealed for 25 years will be a teddy bear to mark the area's highly touted teddy bear hunt during Auckland's lockdown.
Students have also concealed a face mask, a QR code for the school, newsletters, class photos, along with diary entries about 2020 and homeschooling.
The treasures will be dug up and delved into during the school's 100th annual fair.
