Beef Wellington remains a true classic. A beautifully tender piece of eye fillet with chicken liver parfait wrapped in a golden puff pastry, prepared by each student, and served with Pommes Anna a classic French layered potatoes and Sauce Béarnaise.

The house, owned by Auckland Council subsidiary Auckland Transport, was used as a site office by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency staff working on the $46 million cycleway between Glen Innes to Tāmaki Drive, Auckland Transport spokesman Mark Hannan said.
But locals say the property has been all but destroyed by vandals since the cycleway was completed in 2016.
The property is one of several that have become run down and derelict under the ownership of local government.

I am writing to you with regards to the community van, currently being operated by Howick Historical Village (HHV).
Originally, the vehicle was transferred to HHV by the Howick Local Board
with the intention to aid local community groups with their transport requirements.
After a recent discussion with HHV, I’m pleased to advise you that in the near future Manukau East Council of Social Services (MECOSS), will take-over the ownership and running of the vehicle.
Further to this, MECOSS will continue to make the van available to local community groups and organisations for their usage.
If you’d like to schedule a van reservation or make a change to a current booking, please contact lindsay.upton@mecoss.org.nz
If there are any other matters you would like to discuss, please feel free to contact me or Lindsay Upton.

Manukau East Council of Social Services (MECOSS), is seeking volunteer drivers and companions for its Manukau East Shopping Shuttle.
Every Thursday, the shuttle takes people, who often live alone or no longer drive, to Botany Town Centre or Pakuranga Plaza for shopping and a cuppa.
Drivers are mainly responsible for arranging the times and routes for pick-ups and delivering their passengers safely.
Companion’s help clients get into and out of the vehicle and assist with seatbelts.
And if required, a walker or scooter can be booked for passengers to use at the shopping centres.
This daily-life activity has far reaching benefits for our passengers including;
1). Stimulating cognitive processes e.g. enabling passengers to ask questions when determining where items can be obtained, evaluate and compare before and after purchase, and determine value as compared to cost
2). Providing physical benefits e.g. walking around the shopping mall.
3). Function as a leisure pursuit that promotes social engagement e.g. chatting with other passengers and forming friendships.
Perhaps the most appealing aspect of shopping as a life-enriching activity is that it can be enjoyed by most people - even those who may have health problems.
When required and with a little help from our volunteers, people with mobility or transportation challenges can experience the cognitive, health, and social benefits a day on the town can provide.
