Less than half fully vaccinated in some south Auckland Covid-19 suburbs of interest
The government has released data on the Covid-19 vaccination rate by suburb.
Public health efforts are focused on Clover Park, Māngere, Favona and Manurewa in south Auckland.
72.7 per cent of eligible people have received their first dose in Clover Park North, and 48.6 per cent are fully vaccinated.
In Clover Park South 81.4 per cent have had their first dose, and 57 per cent have had both.
In Māngere on average 75.8 per cent of residents have had their first dose of the vaccine, and 49.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
On average 73 per cent of people living in Favona have had their first dose and 47.7 per cent have had both.
In Manurewa on average 77 per cent of residents have had one jab, and 50.4 per cent have had two.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
