Offering free exercise
Hi everyone,
I’m Kim, a certified personal trainer, and I work at the City Fitness in Three Kings. I am also certified in Corrective Exercise.
Since we are in lockdown for at least another 2 weeks, I wanted to offer my services online. I can only assume that most of you will be sitting all day, especially when it’s raining.
Sitting for long periods of time is detrimental to good posture and healthy movement. This is why I would like to offer my services for free.
I will give you full body exercises and stretches that won’t take up much of your time. So, if you’re working, you should still be able to (hopefully) fit them in and you could even get the family involved. The important thing is to get up from your chair and move.
Even if you’re not interested in doing exercise, there are still a few things you could do to improve movement, like:
Set an alarm every hour and:
- walk around the house and stretch your legs,
- roll your shoulders and neck,
- stretch your chest and back.
If you’re interested in a bit of exercise, send me an email on kimmekehoffmann@gmail.com or message me privately here on Neighbourly.
Thank you,
Kim

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
