Poll: Enrol/Update for the Electoral Role by 16th August

Bobby Neighbourly Lead from Three Kings

Hey everybody, the Local Elections are coming up in September by a postal vote and now is the time to enrol or update your address if you haven't already. The cut off date for this election is 16th August (next Friday).

You can easily do this online, I did and it was fairly painless :) There's also paper forms. If you got a letter with the funny orange man (pictured), you're all ready to go!

This is the election where you will be able to vote in your representatives on Auckland Council so it's super important to our neighbourhoods.

Cheers,
Bobby

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
