Hi All,
I hope you are all keeping well. I have not long returned from Annual leave and have been in a rush to get my latest newsletter out to you all. Last week was extremely busy, with the Onehunga fire, PM duties and a last minute call to baby sit a detainee at Auckland Hospital.

I have been receiving a few enquiries in relation to the proposed upgrades for Waiapu Lane Precinct including the Countdown area in addition to some of the unsavoury and criminal activity in this area.
Our local policing team have been working to increase our presence when shift deployment has permitted, however much of the behaviour can be attributed to current environmental design of the current area that incorporates poor sight lines throughout the car park area.
One of Auckland Councils CCO’s Eke Panuku has come up with some pretty great concept designs on the upgrade for this area which should also improve the overall safety for shopper etc.
As safety is a priority for our community feel free to provide your feedback through links provided. You can also share your thoughts on the concept design.

If someone hit your car, would you like that person to leave a note on your car with their details? If someone came into your house, broke something and left, is that ok? Well, last week a customer broke the glass on a beautiful antique lamp at Katikati Antiques and did not offer to pay for damages. The customer broke the lamp when putting a hat back on the stand in the window. They interacted with the shop assistant, but did not offer to pay. They exchanged phone numbers, but the customer is not answering. If you are this person or know who did this, please do the right thing. Why should owner of this store be out of pocket? You broke it, at least offer something. "Lovely to look at, delightful to hold. If you break it, consider it sold."
