Share your favourite place in Tāmaki Makaurau

The Team from Auckland Museum

Whether you’re an experienced writer or just starting out, we’re calling for poem submissions inspired by a place in Tāmaki Makaurau.

This online poetry project is a celebration of our city, inspired by a map of Auckland drawn up by Leslie Kelly in 1940. We’re collecting poems in the lead up to the opening of Tāmaki Herenga Waka: Stories of Auckland gallery in 2021.

Submit and pin your poem on our online map, and explore poems from others here.
