❤️ To our elderly community ❤️

Kim Neighbourly Lead from Mount Roskill

❤️ We are all well aware that a lot of our elderly live in their own homes with a spouse, or often alone.
Not everyone has friends and family to lean on for support and assistance in these times of concern.
If you are at home, frightened, and in need of help - please - reach out to your community via a message here on Neighbourly.
Someone will see it, and there are kind and helpful hearts out here that will do what they can to help you in these times.
I personally am in self isolation as I have a compromised immune system and must take extra care to be safe, and stay well. In addition, we have a good dose of the flu right now. (Tested - not Covid-19).
I have lovely neighbours around me who have helped whenever they can, and I am ever so grateful for this.
Are you at home worried and need someone to talk to? ❤️
Are you at home unwell and in need of a hand? ❤️
Reach out. ❤️
At this time I remind people of the wonderful opportunity we have to shop online and have it delivered for a fee.
Physical health may take a decline, but please, don't let pride or shyness diminish your mental health also.
My hand is up. I am here. Reach out. ❤️
In time to come, if need arises, I will create a group page especially for this.
Feel free to send me a private message, and let's see how we can coordinate some help for you ❤️

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

At the post-Cabinet press conference, the National Party asserted they want public sector staff to return to the office. This has opened a conversation about other sectors in New Zealand who have adopted working from home (WFH).

Repair & Share

Brian from Mount Roskill

Free community repair café held by Repair Café Aotearoa NZ and Auckland Library of Tools!

We offer diagnosis and repair (where possible) of small electrical items, clothing and textiles, wooden items and general repair. We often have specialty repairs available.

To accommodate everyone, you will be able to see our volunteer repairers for 1 item at a time. If you have more than one item you'd like us to look at and there is enough time, you can register your second item afterwards.

Hang out, have a chat and enjoy a tea or a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a home baked treat.

Koha is welcome for refreshments and for our lovely volunteers.

Getting here:
==========
Bus stops on Ponsonby Rd (InnerLink, 20, 105, 106, 866), Great North Rd (11T/W, 18, 20, 195), and Karangahape Rd (WX1).
