🗳️ ONE WEEK TO SHAPE OUR FUTURE! 🗳️

Rizwan from Glen Eden

Kia ora neighbours,

With exactly one week until voting closes on Saturday, 11th October, I wanted to share what this campaign means to me.

This isn't about politics - it's about ensuring our community remains a wonderful place for all of us. When you tick ✅ QURESHI, Rizwan Ahmed for Waitākere Ranges Local Board, you're voting for:
• A dad who understands our local school and community needs
• A neighbour who will always be accessible and listen to your concerns
• A community advocate who believes in practical, common-sense solutions

Having spent these past weeks talking with so many of you, I'm more committed than ever to being a voice that truly represents our community's values and aspirations.

Please post your vote this week - let's work together to keep Waitākere Ranges special!

With warm regards,
Rizwan

📅 Voting closes next Saturday, 11th October

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Wills and Luxon are screwing the country to please the oil and gas industry.

Markus from Green Bay

Today the smart investment is in battery peaker plants in combination with solar and wind, or with any other renewable generation capacity during low demand times.
Gas is expensive and will get more so over time.

Let's not forget that Nicola Willis' dad is a big time oil and gas investor, lobbyist, and industry insider.

Maybe this should be posted in ‚Crime & Safety‘?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
