Re: Home to rent...
Hi everyone thanks for your replies. We are all stunned mullets at the moment. Not sure where to start. I hear what you are all saying. We have seen three rentals already and it doesn't look good. The government needs to supply more appropriate housing for the disabled and their families. There isn't anything out there. It's not safe putting disabled people in apartments with two to three floors. you can't use the lifts if there's a fire??? I am not grumbling about the cost of renting it's inevitable. It's the state of them. We have seen three in the last couple of days. It makes you want to cry. They are not fit for purpose and these places are asking for $800 and upward. They are saying no to pets but i wouldn't even consider putting my pet in them let alone human. The government is siding with rental owners but they actually need to get out there and see for themselves. The bathrooms are not renovated, they are still expecting people to shower in a bathtub and give them $900. Curtains hanging of curtain rods, paint peeling, the list goes on. I am willing to offer my services to clean, paint, keep lawns and gardens but it doesn't come free. All the modern buildings that have been built are not wheelchair friendly. We can just look at them. If anyone out there has a large rental with separate living quarters, which will accommodate five adults, one in a wheelchair a dog and a cat, 2 trailers, 1 work van (mowing contractor Grass 2 Cut Ltd) shopping van/wheelchair capable and two cars we would love to hear from you it's urgent. I know i am not asking for much. But you won't be sorry. We would take the greatest care of your home. I am a house proud person and i drive everyone mad. We would love long term. I have lots of references for people/pets. Lots of real estate places i can refer you to that have rented to our family. We just find it hard to work and search for a place at the same time. So if anyone out there has time to help us search please let me know. I make a good cup of tea and cheese scones:) Bless Julia
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐ป๐จ๐
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
37.3% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
62.7% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
