Volunteers needed to help former refugees pass driving test

Amie from Kelston

Those who don't have a driver's licence have extra challenges: simply getting around, attending job interviews, appointments or taking children to school.
Supporting a former refugee learn to drive is a practical way of helping them settle in their new country.
Please email: openroad.migrantaction@gmail.com to join our West Auckland team of volunteer driver mentors and support persons for test day for former refugees. More info >

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
