Justice of the Peace at Highland Park Library
Welcome back to the Justice of the Peace (JP) service desk opening again in the Highland Park Library weekly on Saturdays starting this coming 15 January 2022 from 10am - 11.30am. The desk is currently only available to fully vaccinated clients. Clients must wear a mask and present their vaccine passport before entering the library. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
