Sylvia, the bird lady in northcross will take Any that are unwell but we need people to keep a look out and rescue any that are sick, also let the council know if there are any dead birds so they can be removed. It also doesn’t help when people feed the ducks bread as this contributes to their poor health and growth of the bacteria. This was in the nz herald and news recently as well. Anyone who can help out please let me know as we are moving in a week and won’t be able to keep checking. Other ponds and lakes in Auckland also need helpers desperately.
