In its 12th year, and a 'go to' event in Auckland's arts calendar, this event doubles as a fundraiser for St Columba's significant community work - including its weekly community lunch for 60-70 people. Ideal timing to find a unique gift for Mothers Day on the Sunday. Eftpos provided.
Secure playground for your littlies while you browse. On Saturday morning, enjoy our sausage sizzle, and sale of plants and preserves too. Bring all the mums in your life, check out the pottery, then head off to a local cafe for coffee or lunch. Perfect.

Hi Neighbours,

Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 - an independent charity dedicated to allow people to remain anonymous while reporting a crime or anything else the Police or any other law enforcement agency can assist with.

Don's very informative email is attached which of course keeps us informed about our local areas. We need to thank him( maybe a brief email or text message )for doing this as many neighbourhoods don't have this concentrated information readily available as we do.
Coffee with a Cop is always interesting. this month,
actually next week on the 16th it's being held at Honey Springs Cafe, 173 Captain Springs Road. from 10 - 11 am
All welcome and MP Greg Fleming will be there is you have any questions for him, he's also very easy to talk with.
I see from the stats that the theft ex car continues, please don't leave anything of value in your car, I take everything out & open the glove box and centre console so it's easy for the thieves to realise "nothing to see here " move on !!!
The detailed crime maps are included every month in the newsletter with a pin where all these have occured.
There's some detail about reporting crime or people/property are in danger. The 111 team are fantastic, I've called them twice last month about a situation I was witnessing from my car, 1 being a very heated ongoing domestic in a car and the other was a truck with a load of rocks on board losing some of them onto vehicles travelling behind ( including me) every time he went over a large bump.

Lastly, want to join your community patrol , see the details in the newsletter

Stay safe

Hi Neighbours
Here at The Doctors we would love to hear how you prefer to book your doctor’s appointments. With busy schedules, different people find different methods easier.

For some, online booking is very convenient, you can make an appointment anytime without needing to wait on the phone. Others still prefer calling the clinic and speaking to a real person, especially if they have specific questions about their visit.

Your feedback helps us understand what works best for our patients and how we can improve access to care.

A new scam is out there with scammers claiming to be ANZ through WhatsApp, texts, emails, and phone calls. Their goal? To get your personal or banking info — and your money.

ANZ have shared details about how to protect yourself, and these apply to any message from your bank.

Think twice before acting and...
✅Double-check who’s contacting you. If something feels off, don’t reply.
✅Contact the bank directly using official details (their website or app) - not the message you received.
✅Don’t click links in unexpected or suspicious messages.
✅Never share sensitive info like codes, passwords, or banking logins - they will never ask for these.
✅Don’t allow remote access or screen sharing on your device, even if they claim to be from a trusted organisation.

ANZ shared that they may contact you to check a transaction but they will never ask for access to your device, security codes, or to move your money.

Have you seen or received something like this recently?

Neighbours, take a second to boil a cup of water before you brush your teeth today...

Watercare has issued a precautionary boil water notice on Monday evening for parts of the Auckland suburbs of Hillsborough, Mt Roskill, Royal Oak and Three Kings due to water samples showing traces of E coli.

“As a precaution, a boil water notice has been put in place while we carry out further testing. This is a standard public health measure. We will provide a further update by midday tomorrow,” Watercare said in its alert.

Watercare said residents should use boiled tap water or storebought bottled water for drinking, cleaning teeth, making ice, washing dishes, and preparing food until further notice.

Boiling water in an electric kettle is sufficient to kill bacteria and other organisms, Watercare said. The water only needs to be boiled once, then it can be cooled before use.

Watercare has set up two tankers in the area for the public to access if they are unable to boil water. There is a third that has been set up specifically to support a retirement village. The locations of the tankers are:
113 Duke Street, Big King Reserve
Hillsborough Park Carpark, Carlton Street
People have been asked to bring clean containers to collect water from the tankers.
