Removal of public rubbish bins 🤦‍

John Gillon from John Gillon - Kaipatiki Local Board

As part of the Mayor's budget cuts, councillors agreed to remove one third of all public rubbish bins from across Auckland! For the Kaipātiki Local Board area, it means that we'll be losing around 112 bins from parks, streets and bus stops.🤦‍ It's a crazy situation when many of our bins don't get emptied often enough now.😡
Council staff have suggested removing the bins marked with red dots on the attached map and if we want to save one, we need to sacrifice another...
Local Board members will be giving feedback on this proposal. Please let us know what you think.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
