A couple of my Dietes irises' flowers opened up today, in my succulent garden out the front of my house. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Sharon from Te Atatu South

They were unwanted plants transplanted from someone else's garden as they had taken over there (she'd left them out on the berm for people to collect!), and they are very hardy and drought tolerant. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ MORE SO than the much prettier Dutch irises (with the even longer stems!) that produced a couple of flowers this year - the Dietes irises will produce even more! The ones by Pak N Save Lincoln are producing lots of flowers. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Suspicious Guy

Jan from Te Atatu South

Keep an eye on this guy, pretended to read the water meter, then wandered up the drive crowbar in hand when I asked what he wanted he said power and is there a dog.We have smart meters. He opened my neighbours gate (we are 3 units) and went in the back of her place with his crowbar. My son went round there and he took off. Police informed.
