Employment Opportunity

Heidi from Piha - Karekare

Employment Opportunity: Casual contract - Immediate start
Area: Waimauku, North / West Auckland
Start date: Tuesday 27 April for eleven consecutive days. (includes one weekend)
Work hours: Three hours daily, from 11.00.am.

You will be supporting a gentleman who lives on a 10 acre block of land. He needs someone who is confident with animals. Specifically, large breed dogs. This gentleman has an Alsatian and a blue heeler that needs to be exercised on the property. In addition, there are five cows that need their water trough checked and topped up daily.

My client has a spinal injury and is unable to stand or walk for long periods of time. In the three hour period, he also requires a meal cooked and some light housework done. This work is for eleven days. There is a possibility that this could lead to ongoing work, as this man might be facing surgery in the near future.

Who we're looking for: You might already be working as a support worker, or have a genuine interest in doing so. You will need the following.

Great communication skills, both verbal and written
A full drivers licence and your own vehicle.
A current first aid certificate
The right to work in New Zealand

If you're interested please call me for an informal chat. Heidi 027 924 1964, or send your CV and letter of application to heidi@thegoodcompanion.co.nz
