I haven't been able to write the whole auto message so I don't know what the message has been about. Apparently my mum did hear the automated message more throughly and was saying that your broadband had been disconnected or something like that?, which was not true. Spark will not ring us or anyone regarding our broadband or our phone lines. It sounds like those phone calls about Microsoft. They say they want to look at your computer. You can say "No, but can I look at your computer?" Microsoft never rings you directly to have your computer checked.

What's your experience at Auckland airport? Do you think travellers are getting a 'raw deal' at a high cost?

Delicious as is, the pudding is also receptive to additional flavours such as lemon rind or raisins and spices like ginger or cinnamon. Make it in a family-sized dish or in individual ramekins to give everyone their own personal pud.
Ingredients
75 g Butter, plus extra for greasing
75 g Sugar
75 g Self raising flour
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Milk
100 g Golden syrup
Directions
Lightly grease a mould, a small pudding basin, or 4 ramekins with a little butter. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and fold in the flour and milk. Pour the golden syrup into the bottom of the pudding basin or mould.
Carefully spoon the pudding batter on top of the golden syrup, spreading the mixture evenly. Cover and seal the top of the pudding basin with baking paper tied into place with string (or you can use tin foil).
Place the pudding basin in a large pot of simmering water. Ensure the water comes halfway up the side of the basin, put the lid on and steam for 30-40 minutes. If you are using ramekins, heat an oven to 160C and place the ramekins in a deep oven tray. Pour warm water around them so that it comes halfway up the ramekins and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream.
Make a change
Lemon golden pudding: Grate the rind of one small lemon and add to the batter with the milk and flour.
Ginger golden pudding: Add 1 tsp of ground ginger with the flour and milk.
Nutty golden pudding: Add chopped walnuts to the bottom of the greased mould before you pour in the golden syrup.

AND YES, I told Pak N Save staff, and they told security. The beggars keep on coming back, they told me. They've been doing this begging for a while now. Twice before, a woman (not scary-looking, but still dodgy) has done the same thing as the man today, with a clever backstory ("My son needs a cake for his birthday"), and the first time I fell for it, gave her $2, but the next day she was back doing the same thing, so when she asked me next time, I told her NO, this is NOT A BEGGING PLACE, and carried on walking. And then today, this man did what I described above. My customer said "Funny that," and said that he'd seen a Polynesian man with a small backpack going from car to car knocking on car windows, asking for cash to get home. I think they lurk between the cars so that they can avoid detection by security staff like they would not if they just sat outside the shop entrance. They USED to sit outside the shop entrance but don't so much anymore. Instead, they hang about between cars so that they can come up to you when you get out of the car, and it can be frightening if you've nowhere to go because you're trapped between two parked cars. If this happens to you, PLEASE TELL PAK N SAVE STAFF TO TELL SECURITY, and then they will get onto it. If ENOUGH of us do this, it may drive the beggars away. As it is, they are getting away with FAR too much, and I am thinking of going to Lincoln Road Pak N Save to avoid the beggars. =P Thanks for reading this. I just thought I would warn you all. Thanks. =D
