March 3rd - 4:30pm to 8:30pm – Te Atatu South Community Centre.

The food trucks joining the night will be:

- Captain Kai Moana - Classic NZ kaimoana goodness like mouth-watering scallops in fry bread and the occasional scrumptious crayfish.
- Local Legend Eats – Delectable burgers, fries and arancini balls.
- Natalia’s food journey - Serving up fried chicken, pulled pork sliders and other tantalising treats.
- Canteen Bali – Indonesian cuisine with a modern twist specialising in rice bowls
- Mama Yoya's - Everyone's favourite authentic Mexican cuisine queen.
- Cream Ice Cream – Delicious real fruit ice cream
- Victor and Vern - Serving your coffee, iced chocolate and homemade soda fix.

On the entertainment menu there will be a free ReCreators woodworking workshop, music and a live performance from AKSamba.

You can also pop up to the art gallery at 249 Edmonton Road that will be open with an array of unique items made by local artists and crafters. They will also have a ceramic workshop on.

Come grab some tasty food and soak up the community vibes. Plenty of seating available or picnic in the park. Parking available on site or the grass field behind the St Johns hall. Walking or cycling up makes it even easier.

A great way to spend a Friday night.

Auckland Emergency Services are asking people to stay away from West Coast beach communities which are trying to recover from last week’s storm.

What you need to know:
- The affected beaches are Piha, Karekare, Bethells, Muriwai, Huia and Little Huia
- The beaches have been closed to non-residents only
- The closures are for safety and to ensure road repairs can take place

“While there is road access into Piha, it’s limited and we’re asking people not to go to Piha to go surfing or picnicking, I know we may have a fine weekend coming up but to stay away out of respect for those communities,” Duty controller Mace Ward says.

If you are wanting to check swimming conditions in other areas of Auckland, check the SwimSafe site.

Te Atatu Food Truck Fridays is still on tonight (February 3rd). Things have been pretty grim over the last month with cancelled events and rain deluges that we thought we all need a good night out.

We will have a fantastic line up of Auckland's best street food, FREE ReCreators poi—making workshop, the repair café will be running to get your household items repaired for free and our regular tunes to light up this long weekend.

The line-up will be Captain Kaimoana, Jo Bro’s burgers, Texas Taco Trailer, Lango Lady - Hungarian Fried Bread, The Flying Rib and Ice Cream Social.

There are carparks available in the Te Atatu South Community Centre carpark. Unfortunately, the overflowing parking on the grass field won’t be available due to all the recent rain. Walking or biking up can make it easier.

Plenty of seating is available inside the main hall or outside in the courtyard.

Stay around a while and the fun community vibes and dress for the weather. We run 4:30pm to 8:30pm Te Atatu South Community Centre.
