Hi neighbours. Transport authorities have pulled double-decker buses from the Auckland Harbour Bridge and are warning it could close completely during a massive storm forecast for much of the country. this weekend.

MetService previously said travel disruptions are likely this weekend, as severe gales, heavy rain and big waves batter the country, followed by cold Antarctic air bringing snow to low levels in the deep south.

Meteorologists believe the storm could be “one of the most widespread severe weather events this year”.

Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) general manager of transport services Brett Gliddon advised motorcyclists and those driving high-sided vehicles to avoid the bridge.

The curtains are very good quality having been made by Household Linens in Takapuna with a full thermal lining. The lining has very slight aging/ mildew in places but the actual curtains are in very good condition. They come from a smoke free household. Would love them to go to a family who need good heavy curtains for warmth. They all need to go as one lot.

We pay for water supply and some form of sewage fee to the 1 and only water company in Auckland (a monopoly if you ask me) and yet i dont see any infrastructure growth towards our water supply given the city is growing each day. What frustrate me is, the only water company in Auckland is putting a Manatory restrictions to our usage of water. I understand and do conserve water, but i felt they are finding ways to take care of its stakeholders and shareholders and not the customer that dont have a choice to get mains water from them. Yes i can buy water from a company that delivers water to your door and fill up your tank, however thats defeating the purpose, because i need council consent to put a massive water tank on my property.
I might be wrong, and happy to be educated or just have a neighbourly banter on the issue.
