FREE hearing tests for young children at the University of Auckland, Tamaki Campus

Sharon from Farm Cove

Has your child had a number of ear infections or have you thought that their speech is quite poor for their age?  Have you ever wondered if they might have some hearing loss?  Is your child already on a hospital waiting list for a hearing test but you would like them to be seen sooner?
For the next month, we are offering free hearing tests to young children at the University of Auckland, Tamaki Campus. We need a number of willing and co-operative children aged 3 1/2 to 5 years of age for our teaching clinics.  All children will receive a comprehensive hearing assessment by a student audiologist under the supervision of a qualified, experienced audiologist. Appointments will be 1 hour in duration and you will receive a copy of the test results at the end of the appointment.
To make an appointment, please phone the clinics on 923 9909.  The last clinic will be on 25 October 2019, so get in quick to secure your appointment.
Car parking is free and the campus is close to convenient bus and train routes.

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?

(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
