Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!
Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫

A Recital to Commemorate the Papacy of Pope Francis
On the first anniversary of his passing, we honour the life and legacy of Pope Francis — a universally admired and deeply loved Holy Father — with a special recital in the gracious acoustic of St Michael’s Catholic Church, Remuera, by kind permission of Fr. Tony Dunn.
The choir will be joined by acclaimed soprano Elizabeth Mandeno, organist Philip Smith, and a small orchestra for a programme of profound beauty and reverence. The centrepiece of the evening is John Rutter’s Requiem, complemented by works from Poulenc, Howells, Harris, Artley and Duruflé — music chosen to reflect the compassion, humility, and spiritual depth that characterised Pope Francis’ papacy.
