Learn from this Guys. My iPhone8 stopped updating the software I realised when I'm looking at Tuesday's weather and it's Thursday. Then I can't send texts "time sensitive" was the message. So I tried to update. No Dice
So I tried to update via iTunes. No dice. So I downloaded the app. No dice and then the phone froze on the Apple support screen. Apple support said I had to take it to the store. Cost me to send it in and have it diagnosed. $70
They (Harvey Norman Wairau) reset the phone and couriered it back. And I'm now locked out and have to recover my account through Apple who via the web told me I have a wait period of 'days' or 'LONGER"
Kewl. NOT. So after a 'wait period' (in their words...1984 anyone?) which Apple assured me their call centre people can't hasten I'm given a coundown...24 hours...10 hours...3 hours...20 mins...
And THEN I'm told I have to wait until November 6th to recover my account!!! It's already been down a week and now another fortnight???
So, yes their tactics have resulted in forcing me to upgrade my old phone. But guess what. Spark are sending me out a Samsung S24.
Goodbye Apple.

Poll: Does grocery bagging affect where you shop?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

There's only a few differences between our larger chain supermarkets here in New Zealand. Having someone bag your groceries is one of them.

Does having your groceries packed for you at the checkout influence where you do your grocery shop? If so, tell us why.

As we come up to the festive season, a lot of us want to shop online and look for good bargains 🛍️🛒

Here’s a few tips to help you stay safe, avoid buying stolen property, and not get taken advantage of:
💸If it is too good to be true, it probably is, or it could be stolen property.
💸If it’s being sold as new, ask for the receipt for the warranty. If they can’t provide it, that’s a red flag.
💸Check the seller’s profile, is it new or relatively blank?
💸If you make a purchase and need to meet somebody to get it, choose somewhere well-lit and well populated in public, near CCTV. If it has to be somebody’s home, take someone with you and let someone else know where you’re going and when.
💸Be especially cautious when buying power tools or high-end toy brick building block sets.

Sadly, if you unknowingly buy stolen property, you’re aiding criminals and inadvertently supporting them to steal more.
If you find a suspect listing or social media scam, call 105, or report it with us online at 105.police.govt.nz

We all know that catching those Zzz's is crucial for our overall well-being, but just how much should we be investing to enhance our sleep habits?

Let's dive in and find out!

Understanding the Value of Quality Sleep
Before we break down the dollars and cents of sleep investments, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible benefits of a good night's rest.

1. Lifestyle Changes for Better Sleep
Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the most effective.

By making small adjustments to our daily routines, we can significantly improve the quality of our sleep.

Try cutting back on screen time before bed, establishing a consistent sleep schedule, and creating a relaxing bedtime routine to signal your body that it's time to wind down.

Smart mattresses, sleep trackers, and adjustable bed frames are just a few examples of the high-tech gadgets available to help you optimise your sleep environment and improve your overall sleep quality.

Making Smart Investments in Your Sleep Health
When it comes to investing in better sleep, it's essential to weigh the costs against the potential benefits.

Poll: Would you commute by public transport if it was free?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Using your car is convenient, except for finding parking.

Cycling lets you leave anytime, but you might arrive soaked.

So, neighbours, if public transport had the perk of being free, would it be your main way to commute?
