Hi everyone i was wondering if anyone could help. I have a rescue dog three years old who doesn't have any manners and no ears.
When she goes on walks she pulls, tows and does her best to upset her owners and others on her walks more like run. We have tried everything. Even sending on a dog outing with other like minded dogs. but that didn't change her. Is there anyone out there that can straighten her out for me. I don't want to have to give her up to a fourth home. She started her life in the pound and has never had her training completed. As there are things like sit and wait until permission given to eat, she will do. Recall sometimes. She has a lively nature and is very loving. Appreciate some help.

A petition is circulating to get curtains added as part of the Healthy Homes Standards in the hopes of helping renters avoid living in cold, damp conditions. Do you think curtains should be mandatory for New Zealand homes?

Is it still worth it getting solar?

The whole World seems to be rushing to solar power, and many states have generous subsidies or legally binding payback rates to encourage the uptake (eg in Germany Balcony Solar Power Stations have been a HUGE seller for months).

Stuff just published another article tolling the virtue of solar to combat the climate crisis - see www.stuff.co.nz...

Now why is nobody reporting on the odd fact that New Zealand has made private solar power generation completely uneconomical with the new low fixed charge tariff regulations?

Currently we pay $80-120 per month for our electricity (of which $11 are fixed charges), mostly because we save energy any way we can. We were considering installing solar - but if we have to pay $60 in fixed charges anyway (plus the cost for electricity used on top) then what is the point?
